Our Vetting Process
To ensure a high-quality experience for users and maintain the integrity of our platform, Trusted Advisor Connect only partners with vetted, licensed, and client-focused financial advisors. Below is the checklist used to evaluate whether an advisor qualifies to receive prospective clients through our platform.
Required Qualifications:
Must hold at least one of the following active credentials:
Series 65 License
Series 66 License (in combination with Series 7)
Must also hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation
Active license in good standing (verified via FINRA, SEC, or applicable state regulatory database)
No history of serious regulatory infractions, client disputes, or unresolved complaints
Minimum of 3 years of client-facing advisory experience
Reputation & Client Feedback:
Minimum average of 4.5 stars or higher on at least one professional review site (e.g. Google Reviews, Yelp, SmartAsset, etc.) OR
Minimum of 3 client testimonials or references available upon request
Practice Requirements:
Offers a free initial consultation to new prospects
Accepts clients remotely (via phone, Zoom, or other virtual meeting tools)
Ethical & Service Expectations:
Treats each prospective client with professionalism and respect
Understands that negative feedback from users may result in removal from the platform
Advisors who meet all of the Required criteria and the Practice & Ethical standards are eligible for partnership. Trusted Advisor Connect reserves the right to approve or reject any advisor based on overall fit and user feedback.
