Our Vetting Process

To ensure a high-quality experience for users and maintain the integrity of our platform, Trusted Advisor Connect only partners with vetted, licensed, and client-focused financial advisors. Below is the checklist used to evaluate whether an advisor qualifies to receive prospective clients through our platform.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold at least one of the following active credentials:

    • Series 65 License

    • Series 66 License (in combination with Series 7)

  • Must also hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation

  • Active license in good standing (verified via FINRA, SEC, or applicable state regulatory database)

  • No history of serious regulatory infractions, client disputes, or unresolved complaints

  • Minimum of 3 years of client-facing advisory experience

Reputation & Client Feedback:

  • Minimum average of 4.5 stars or higher on at least one professional review site (e.g. Google Reviews, Yelp, SmartAsset, etc.) OR

  • Minimum of 3 client testimonials or references available upon request

Practice Requirements:

  • Offers a free initial consultation to new prospects

  • Accepts clients remotely (via phone, Zoom, or other virtual meeting tools)

Ethical & Service Expectations:

  • Treats each prospective client with professionalism and respect

  • Understands that negative feedback from users may result in removal from the platform

Advisors who meet all of the Required criteria and the Practice & Ethical standards are eligible for partnership. Trusted Advisor Connect reserves the right to approve or reject any advisor based on overall fit and user feedback.
